Menu

• When upgrading a WinPay company that has EoY copies, you 'must' now upgrade the EoY copies at the same time. An autobackup of the EoY copy will not be taken. Prior to upgrading an EoY copy, clear any locks on that company (primarily the 'Advance' lock).
• Added the phrase (P9X) to the WinPay menu under 'Maintenance/Global employee changes/Tax code changes (P9X)' to make it clear that this option can be run at any time, not just at year end.

Upgrade

• During a previous upgrade, employee records were taken from the employee archive and merged with the current employees. However, certain employee codes were marked as deleted even though there were current P11 records for those employees. A list of the employee codes changed in this way can be found in file 'Upg634_0599.txt' in the company folder once the upgrade has been completed.

V-Rex

• Addressed an issue where REPORT.EXE was left in memory after being intercepted by V-Rex.

V-Rex Spooler

• Audit trails now store under a main folder called 'Audit'.
• Speed up the search for a single Audit Trial Enquiry.
• Stop flickering of the Folder tree during refresh.
• Automatically remove any empty spool folders.
• Last viewed folder setting is now stored separately for Audit trails.
• Last viewed folder settings are now stored by company.
• Last update check settings are now stored centrally, rather than by user.

System reports

• The message receipt from HMRC, once any online filing has been successfully completed, is now a 'central' report and is spooled automatically.

WinAccs

Cash posting

• Strengthened the validation when entering contract codes and contract analysis codes.

Group consolidation

• Stop the Error 5 encountered when running group consolidation and Spool=1.

WinPay

Advance

• Corrected an issue when creating the EoY copy company left an 'Advance' lock in place.
• Added more error trapping handling code to provide more information to support should the program exit abnormally.
• Ensure that the destination folder for the EoY copy is empty before starting to copy the company.
• If the EoY copy cannot be taken, give the user a chance to correct the problem and then try to take the copy again.

End of Year

• Increased the validation value on the Tax free incentive payment received to £750.
• Corrected an issue when attempting to process EoY on an EoY copy company when that company is linked to a live WinAccs company.

P45 Control

• Added the functionality to file P45 Part 1 online. This includes a pre-flight check, similar to HMRC general validation, which ensures that the employee record confirms to HMRC rules.
• Made it clear when on the first P45 control form, that you have to post new leavers to the P45 control file before being able to print and file online.

Tax code changes (P9X)

• Changed the phrasing of the button 'Apply' to 'Set the Adjust By values' to make it clear that you still have to click OK to perform the changes.
