IMPORTANT: - This is the Service Pack for your End of Year processing. Please read this letter for more information.

All systems

Menu

• Ensure that the 'tidy files' routine updates the activity bar to show how much is still to be processed.
• When tidying files, ensure that if the file cannot be deleted, processing continues without generating an error.

V-Rex

• New features for line and box graphics on VRX files. Used primarily for the production of the plain paper P45.
• Improved accuracy of underlining and strikeout lengths.
• Added new conversion features for importing BRG files.
• PDF production allows proper file names to be used.
• Show V-Rex on the taskbar was called from 'Enquiry / display'.
• Corrected an issue when scaling reports and documents between Letter and A4 size.
• An empty data set now shows the page headings but with no detail lines instead of a blank page.
• Enhanced the RepGen1 to V-Rex interface when producing landscape reports.

WinAccs

Contract analysis codes

• When clicking the 'Analysis headings' button on 'Heading maintenance' or 'Contract work in progress report', the form is now positioned correctly.

Enquiry / display

• When viewing contracts, journal postings with an analysis type of 'sales' are now displayed correctly in the sales column.
• Corrected an formatting issue when exporting the purchase ledger to Excel.

Invoices

• Corrected an issue with the invoice log system and changing the date of an accepted invoice.
• Created a new option in WinAccs.ini to allow the company to use duplicate purchase invoice numbers.
• Corrected an issue when entering a value in the withheld/retention field on invoice headers. A withhold until date is also required and is now mandatory.

Job ledger maintenance

• Corrected an issue when browsing Jobs and the program was telling you the record had changed.
• Corrected an issue when browsing Budgets and the program was telling you the record had changed when you had saved the record in the Budgets form.

System reports

• Corrected the job ledger balance reports to stop the 'error evaluating boolean expression' message.
• A new report 'Job ledger balances - Pending balance' which is similar to the standard 'Job ledger balance' report but includes the account pending value.

WinPay

Please note, this IS your year end release. It contains everything you need to process your 2009 year end and start processing 2009/10 payments.

Employee maintenance

• Corrected an issue when attempting to add multiple student loans.
• A new field, activated when an employee is marked as a leaver. You can now tell WinPay that this employee has died. This is required for the new P45 forms.

End of year

• Reduced the validation on the P35 tax free incentive payment from £750 to £75 for 2009 and £0 in 2010.
• Corrected an issue when printing P14's with the direct option.
• Changed the online submission schema to the new EoY 2009 specification.

NI calculations

• Corrected an issue with rounding for Director's NI (2010 calculations).

P32 months and archive months for weekly records

• On the P32 and in the archive data, for weekly records the month number was calculated using the payment date instead of the week number (e.g. 3rd September 08 was week 22 and should've been month 6 but was calculated as month 5, as the payment date was before the 6th on the month). Weekly records now use a new routine for getting the month number.

P45 control

• Updated to allow the selection of the 5 different types of P45 stationery now available. Also includes the logic for the online filing, but does not include the function itself. This will be released in SP5 shortly.

SSP recovery

• When advancing a company, you now have an option to reduce SSP recovery to zero if the company data is to be consolidated with a larger group. This setting is remembered for each advance.

System reports

• New 2009/10 P45 V-Rex reports for continuous, laser-sheet and plain paper A4. Also includes the new 'Died' flag for Part 1.
• Changed PSLPSC85.VRX to make it fit dot matrix printers.
